Miami Dolphins WR Brian Hartline offered some words of encouragement and perspective on Paul George’s injury after facing similar odds during his senior year of high school as he was about to head to Ohio State, even wondering to himself, if he would be able to play ball again. He says to this day, after the surgery and subsequent recovery period, he feels no side effects of his 90 degree tear of his tibia and fibula.
“I was reading everybody saying, ‘Ah, his career might be over.’ His career is not anywhere near over,” Hartline said of George. “He’ll be fine. He’s a freak athlete. He’ll do awesome, he’ll work hard. That’s my perspective.”
