After signing with Jordan Brand in 2009, on October 1st 2012, Dwyane Wade’s contract expired with the World Famous shoe brand and the two decided to Part ways.
The troubles between the star athlete and Jordan brand were made evident last month when the Jordan Fly Wade’s were never scheduled to drop when fellow endorsees, Carmelo and Chris Paul’s signature shoes were. Wade confirmed on Tuesday that he had left Jordan and did not announce his new shoe endorsement but rumors close to the deal say Dwyane might be agreeing on a deal with Li-Ning as the season fast approaches.
“The Jordan Brand and Dwyane Wade have mutually agreed to end our relationship. We wish Dwyane well as he continues his career,” Jordan Brand said.
“I did mutually part ways with the Jordan and Converse umbrella,” he said. “We had a great nine years, but we did mutually part ways.”
Earlier Monday, the 76ers star and Beijing Based Li-Ning Company’s signature athlete, Evan Turner informally welcomed Dwyane Wade to the Li-Ning family on Twitter and later took it down that same day.
Dwyane Wade would be the #1 Athlete signed under Li-Ning , which has established itself the #2 in China sports wear after Nike.
