So apparently the deal LeBron signed to promote Beats by Dre included a little slice of the company which, upon close of the sale to Apple for $3 BILLION a week or so ago, is paying him out about $30 Million. This is a pretty nice chunk of change and could factor into bringing Melo to Miami since he is making enough money on the side to make up for taking a lower contract with Miami.
While many stars look at contracts as a sign of respect or worth, LeBron has never been greedy or demanded a max contract during his career, being more concerned with the financial security of the team he’s playing for to help ensure he can be surrounded by the talent he wants.
We got Game 4 tonight so we’re not worried about free agency just yet. However, can’t knock LeBron’s hustle on and off the court and look forward to him going HAM tonight!!!!
